About Sensory Spaces of Tampa Bay
Our Story
Sensory Spaces of Tampa Bay was created from our family's own journey. A journey filled with love, challenges, determination, and hope. As parents of a child with special needs, we've experienced the overwhelming moments, the victories that others may never see, and the constant search for places where our child felt understood, supported, and accepted. We learned that something as simple as the right environment can change everything. A thoughtfully designed sensory space can bring peace during moments of overwhelm, encourage learning, build confidence, and create opportunities to thrive.
Those experiences changed our lives after we saw what making a "Sensory Closet" for our son did for him.
Our Mission
At Sensory Spaces of Tampa Bay, our mission is to enhance the lives of individuals with sensory needs by designing safe, calming, and inclusive sensory environments tailored to their unique abilities. Through education, advocacy, and community partnerships, we are committed to making sensory-friendly spaces more accessible, empowering individuals to regulate, learn, grow, and thrive while fostering acceptance and inclusion throughout our community.
Our Vision
Our vision is to build a more inclusive community where every individual with sensory needs has access to safe, supported, and enriching environments. We envision a future where homes, schools, therapy centers, medical facilities, foster care settings, community organizations, and local businesses embrace sensory inclusion, allowing every person the opportunity to feel understood, empowered, and able to thrive.
